The mission of the Young Harris College Office of Institutional Advancement is, first and foremost, to lend perpetual support to the mission of Young Harris College. Diligent efforts of encouraging support from individuals, corporations and foundations paired with a comprehensive marketing and public relations effort prepare the foundation for a donor driven relationship-based plan of advancement for Young Harris College. This is accomplished through communicating information to various groups of constituents, soliciting gifts, managing the image of the college and, most importantly, building and maintaining relationships that will be beneficial to Young Harris College. Only by believing in and being dedicated to the mission of Young Harris College can the true pinnacle of effectiveness be reached for the Office of Institutional Advancement.

A Better…Not Bigger Approach:
Young Harris College students deserve to live, learn and play in facilities worthy of the College's reputation for excellence.  To attract and maintain a quality faculty and student body requires endowed scholarships and building funds. We must provide them with the physical plant, equipment and technology necessary to prepare them for the 21st Century.

Young Harris College seeks to build on its tradition of excellence. To embrace the future, the College must continue making significant improvements in the quality of student life and in the learning environment within the context of those Christian values and traditions which have historically empowered the Young Harris spirit and communal distinctiveness. Young Harris College must continue to attract its traditional "A" and "B" students and maintain an annual enrollment of 600 students. The goal is to be better…not bigger. Young Harris College knows "who it is" and where it is going. The pledge of the College is to seek excellence, enrich student life, embrace educational technology and affirm Christian values.
