The Credeaux Canvas Saturday, March 28 7:00 PM @ Dobbs Theatre

Friday-Saturday, March 27-28, 7 p.m. Three struggling artists swindle an art collector in this critically acclaimed play. Exploring a complex labyrinth of love, friendship and true intimacy, deft dialogue drives this beautifully constructed play to its soul-shattering climax. It’s a fascinating exploration of lofty dreams and the price paid for them.

Guest Lecture: Dr. David Perry Tuesday, March 31 7:00 PM @ Wilson Lecture Hall

National Security Agency cryptologic mathematician Dr. David Perry will present a lecture titled “The Coming of Enigma," which will explore the history of codes, code-breaking, and the “unbreakable” Enigma code machine, a cryptodevice used by the Germans before and during World War II.  A second lecture for YHC students, titled “The Cracking of Enigma,” will take place on Tuesday, March 31, at 3:30 p.m. in Wilson Lecture Hall.

Appalachian Chapel Service Tuesday, April 7 7:00 PM @ Susan B. Harris Chapel

YHC will host double-neck guitarist Mark Kroos for the fifth annual Appalachian Chapel Service. Specializing in traditional Appalachian spiritual and folk music, Kroos plays both guitar necks simultaneously. His primary instrumental style is characterized by open harmonies, polyphonic textures and incredible tapping techniques.

Hamilton Lecture - Mike Ruse Wednesday, April 8 8:00 PM @ Wilson Lecture Hall, Goolsby Center

Dr. Mike Ruse is the Lucycle T. Werkmeister Professor of Philosophy at Florida State University.  On Thursday, February 26 at 7 p.m. in the Wilson Lecture Hall of the Goolsby Building, Dr. Ruse will lecture on the debate between intelligent design and evolution.  The event is open to the entire campus and the wider community. The Hamilton Lecture Series brings outstanding religious spokespersons to YHC to discuss faith-based topics. Established by Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Strain, along with other members of their family, to honor Mrs. Strain’s parents, Rev. George Wharton Hamilton and Naomi Barton Hamilton. Rev. Hamilton was a 1907 graduate of Young Harris College who served on the YHC faculty and was active as a minister in the North Georgia Conference. 

Spring Senior Thesis Art Exhibition Thursday, April 9 6:00 PM @ Campus Gate Art Gallery

April 9-May 9; Opening Reception 6 p.m. This exhibition represents a culmination of artwork created by senior art majors graduating in May 2015. This gifted group will showcase a diverse body of work, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and many other mediums.
