Young Harris College’s Alpha Psi Omega Society Presents Third Annual “Valentine’s Day Cabaret” Fundraiser

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Young Harris College’s Alpha Psi Omega Society will present the third annual “Valentine’s Day Cabaret” fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. in Dobbs Theatre of Goolsby Center on the YHC campus.

The event features talented students performing a variety of short musical and dramatic pieces related to the themes of love and heartbreak.

“Some of the selections include modern pop, jazz, and even an original piece,” said senior theatre major and the fundraiser’s director Lindsey Koch, of Douglasville. “There are songs to make you cry, and scenes and monologues to make you laugh. It’s an altogether fantastic show to see.”

There will be a wide range of performances including offerings from popular musicals such as “Legally Blonde the Musical,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “Chicago” and more.

All donations collected will benefit the Division of Fine Arts and help fund students’ travel expenses for conferences, competitions and auditions. This year, the donations will also help fund the theatre department's tour of Ontario, Canada, next year.

For more information, contact the Division of Fine Arts at (706) 379-5182.
