“Season of Light,” a special holiday presentation in Young Harris College’s O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium, will take place Friday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. Each planetarium show costs $5 per adult, $3 per child and is free for YHC students, faculty and staff. The annual Hamilton Lecture at Young Harris College will feature Dr. Amy-Jill Levine. Her presentation, which is titled "Of Pearls and Prodigals: Hearing Jesus' Parables in His World and Ours," will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. in the Rollins Campus Center’s Hatcher Dining Room. The campus is located at 1 College St., Young Harris, Georgia. This event is part of YHC’s academic lecture series and is free and open to the public.
Young Harris College invites the community to attend Fall Fest on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m.
Young Harris College announced Dr. Claudie Massicotte as the recipient of the Vulcan Teaching Excellence Award at its 2019 Academic Convocation. The $1,000 award is sponsored by Vulcan Materials Company. It was established in 1991 to honor outstanding professors on select member campuses of the Georgia Independent College Association.
