Facility Initiatives
- LEED Gold certification earned for the Rollins Campus Center; LEED Silver certification earned for Enotah Hall residence hall; LEED Certification earned for Recreation and Fitness Center, The Village and The Towers
- Geothermal heating and cooling systems installed to serve Enotah, Hillgrove and Manget residence halls
- YHC Fine Arts Annex repurposed for art department space and environmentally friendly pervious concrete pad installed to reduce runoff
- Green cleaning supplies used throughout campus

- YHC beekeeping classes, lectures and workshops are offered to students and public
- YHC Hemlock Project conducts research for a non-chemical solution to an ecological problem
- Organic gardening class teaches students, faculty and staff to grow their own food using natural fertilizers and organic pesticides
