Eddie Collins

Eddie Collins joined the Young Harris faculty in the Spring of 2008 to head up the musical theatre program. In addition to directing the musicals each year at Young Harris, he teaches courses in acting, voice and diction, and theatre appreciation. He holds a B.A. in Drama from the University of Virginia and an M.F.A. in Acting from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He has also studied at the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia, at California's Dell'Arte School and at the University of South Florida. He is a member of Actors' Equity and has acted professionally across the country for the past fifteen years.

Rob Sturgess

Rob Sturgess received his degrees in English and Drama/Speech from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He has worked professionally with the Williamstown Theater Festival, Savannah Theater, the Aurora Theater, The Atlanta Opera, and has spent four seasons with the Brevard Music Center. He taught theater at Berkmar High School in Gwinnett County and ran an advanced training program for career bound high school theater technicians through Gwinnett County's Grayson Technical Program. |

Dale Cochran

A native Atlantan, Dale graduated from Georgia State University and worked for Rich's, Inc. for 10 years as creative events supervisor. He moved to Hiawassee to pursue his artistic career 27 years ago. His paintings of Georgia birds and wildflowers have been exhibited in national and local shows. In 1986, he designed a paper Christmas tree ornament and hand-made 300 of them for the Carter Presidential Library Christmas tree. The Museum of Modern Art purchased one of his Christmas card designs and it was featured in their Christmas Catalog from 1988 to 1990. In 1990, Artist Magazine selected Dale as one of their top 125 wildlife artists in America, and the Museum of Modern Art purchased another of his Christmas card designs for their 1998 catalog. Dale has been associated with Theatre Young Harris for over 20 years and has designed 30 sets for the theatre. He also has served as Adjunct Professor of Art at Young Harris College.

George Koller

George Koller is a New York transplant who holds a Masters degree in Theatre, and who has had successful careers as a professional dancer, educator, choreographer, talent scout, and show director. In 2005, he retired from the Walt Disney Company after 25 years, having staged, written, and/or directed special events, conventions, parades, and shows in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe, as well as all four of Disney's Florida theme parks. George has also taught and adjudicated for major dance organizations across the United States (DMA, DEA, ADA, and others) in addition to working at private studios, the University of Central Florida, and his alma mater Adelphi University on Long Island. His training covers a broad spectrum - ballet, jazz, tap, modern, character, acrobatics, acting, voice, and classical French mime. Currently making education his priority, George is now devoting himself to teaching, lecturing, and talent adjudication; as of August 2009, he is an adjunct instructor of dance in the Musical Theatre Department at Young Harris College in Georgia.

Barbara L. Honaker

Barbara Landrum Honaker brings over 30 years experience as a Choreographer, Director, and Teacher. Recipient of over 2,500 awards such as: "Majorette Queen of America" and "Southern States Talent Champion"; choreographing projects including: Billy Graham Crusades, Psalty the Sing Song Book, Herb Moon, Pendleton Brown, and Southern Centre, just to name a few. Mrs. Honaker's student's accomplishments include: International Ballet Competition in Moscow; Premier Ballerina for Atlanta, and Royal Ballet; movies such as: National Lampoon's European Vacation; ABC Afterschool Specials (several); TV shows such as: The Unit, The Mentalist, Grace Under Fire, and so many more. Her education includes: Bachelor and Associates of Science with Cum Laude honors; attended Berry, Duke, Floyd, Almeda, The Atlanta Ballet Education Centre, Terpsichore, Southern Centre, Bo Wagner, Dan Yeoman, and many others. Together, she and her husband Chuck have 5 children.
