Communication Studies

Overview of Program

The purpose of the Communication Studies program is to educate students in all of the theoretical and applied dimensions of human and media communication. Grounded in its liberal arts foundation, students who pursue Communication Studies will be prepared to excel in specific communication contexts, cross-disciplinary contexts, research, and graduate school pursuits such as law, counseling, marketing, public relations, and journalism.

COMM 1000: Introduction to Human Communication
COMM 1100: Public Speaking
COMM 1050: Introduction to Mass Media.
COMM 2200: Intercultural Communication
