Dr. Ian Curran
Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion and Philosophy
Dr. Curran is a constructive and systematic Christian theologian in the Wesleyan tradition with an interest in the study of Christian spirituality. His dissertation examined the classical "doctrine of analogy" in light of contemporary approaches to religious language. His work has appeared in the Christian Century and Homily Service and he has forthcoming pieces in Liturgy and the Emory Encyclopedia of Contemplative Practice. He is currently working on a book titled The Practice of Transfiguration. At Young Harris, he has taught introduction to philosophy, introduction to ethics, world religions, and Christian thought. He also enjoys reading, swimming and playing tennis.
Dr. Curran holds a B.A. degree from the University of California-Los Angeles, an M.A. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, an M.T.S. from Duke University and a Ph.D. from Emory University. He may be reached at icurran@yhc.edu. |

Dr. Felecia McDuffie
Associate Professor of Religion
Chair, Religion and Philosophy Department
Dr. McDuffie joined the Young Harris College faculty in 2001. She specializes in the history of Christian thought and has particular interests in early modern theology, religion and literature, and religious perspectives on the human body. She is the author of To Our Bodies Turn We Then: Body as Word and Sacrament in the Works of John Donne as well as essays on St. Augustine and Emmanuel Swedenborg.
Dr. McDuffie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, a Masters degree in Theological Studies from Candler School of Theology, and a Ph.D. from Emory University. She may be contacted at mcduffie@yhc.edu.
