Directions to the observatory:

The YHC Observatory is located near campus on Georgia state property, at the Twiggs Overlook on the exit road leading from the Brasstown Valley Resort. After leaving the planetarium, take a right on US Hwy. 76 and travel approximately a mile to the resort main entrance (not the service entrance you pass along the way). Turn right on Brasstown Way. The road splits into separate entrance and exit lanes. Keep right on the entrance lane and travel toward the resort for about half a mile until the lanes come back together again. At this point, take a left as if you are leaving the resort. Drive for about a quarter mile and on the right will be a parking area for the Twiggs Overlook. Park there and walk up the hill behind the overlook following the pathway lights. The observatory is about 100 feet up the ridge.
