Dr. Jackson received her B. S. Ed. from the University of Georgia. She received her Master’s and Specialist’s Degrees from Georgia State University and her Doctorate from Georgia Southern University. She holds a Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia. Dr. Jackson served 30 years in public education as a middle school teacher, instructional lead teacher, assistant principal and a district curriculum coordinator. She served five years on public and regional library boards, served as president of the Georgia Language Arts Supervisors for two years and reviewed professional books for a national education publisher. Dr. Jackson is currently serving as the Program Coordinator for Middle Grades Education at Young Harris College.
