Chris Crawford holds an M.F.A. in lighting design and theatre technology from Indiana University.  He has been a freelance designer and event manager for the last 20 years. Mr. Crawford's design work has been seen in theatres across the southeast including Theatrical Outfit, Theatre in the Square, Actor's Express, True Colors Theatre, Jewish Theatre of the South and dozens of fundraisers, festivals, and corporate and private events.  His corporate work ranges from the 1996 Centennial Olympiad’s Cultural programs to the Harley Owner’s Group, The Boys and Girls Clubs, MBC, BET and The Weather Channel.  Mr. Crawford has been the recipient of many awards and honors through the years, such as twice awarded Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta (once for Best Musical and once for Best Event on a Shoestring), multiple KCACTF Lighting and Scenic Design awards, and Suzi Nominated for Lighting Design.

Mr. Crawford began teaching at the collegiate level in 2007, and continues to design lights for theatres in the greater Atlanta area and provides management services for an event or two each year.  Mr. Crawford serves on the Boards of North Georgia Future Stars and the Georgia Theatre Conference.
