Cynthia DeFoor
Instructor of Music
Mrs. DeFoor was appointed adjunct instructor of music in 2000 and instructor of music in 2012. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from Shorter College, where she studied piano with Elizabeth Buday. Mrs. DeFoor has studied organ with Peter DeWitt and Jan van Otterloo.
She has been an independent music teacher for twenty-four years in Florida and Georgia. Mrs. DeFoor has extensive accompanying and collaborative music experience in both chamber and orchestral settings.
She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Georgia Music Teachers Association, Northeast Georgia Music Teachers Association and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
In addition to her YHC duties, Mrs. DeFoor is the Organist/Choirmaster at St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Blairsville, GA.
