Adjunct Instructor of Music
Kerry Rittenhouse joined the YHC adjunct faculty in 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Music, Master of Science for Teachers and Educational Specialist Degrees from Georgia Southern University. He has been the Director of Bands at West Laurens High School and Dublin High School in central Georgia and at Union County High School in Blairsville, Ga. He retired in 2013 after a 29 year career in public school music education. His bands consistently received superior ratings at both marching and concert events throughout his career. He has performed with the Savannah Symphony, The Statesboro-Georgia Symphony Orchestra, The Men of Note Big Band, The Dublin Big Band, The Northwinds Symphonic Band and the Young Harris Community Band. He is currently a member of the Brasstown Big Band based in Young Harris. His professional associations include The Georgia Music Educators Association, The National Association of Music Education, The National Band Association and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He is a member of the Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Mu.
