Dr. Whisenhunt holds a B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College, an M.A. from The Florida State University and a Ph.D. from The University of Alabama. She has also studied Italian at The University of Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. Dr. Eloise Whisenhunt's areas of interest include Modernism and textual studies with a particular interest in the poetry of Marianne Moore. When not reading or grading papers, Dr. Whisenhunt enjoys hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her family and playing “dog-house” bass in a local band, Cornbread Ted and the Butterbeans.
