Felecia McDuffie joined the Young Harris College faculty in 2001. She holds the T. Jack Lance Chair of Religion and is head of the degree program in Religious Studies. She teaches courses in world religion, philosophy, and ethics.

Rev. Whitley joined the Young Harris College Department of Religion in 1980. He has pastored several churches in northeast Georgia and regularly preaches at YHC's chapel services. He is the faculty advisor for the campus Wesley Fellowship and enjoys working with Habitat for Humanity and other missions projects. Rev. Whitley also enjoys European travel and, in his spare time, operates the Young Harris Valley railroad, a large-scale model railroad with two locomotives, five cars, and 1,322 feet of track.

Patty Ryle Clay

Rev. Patty Ryle Clay joined the faculty of Young Harris College in 2007 as religion professor and associate campus minister.  She has served churches in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church for twenty years. During her last appointment of nine years as pastor of Sharp Memorial UMC on the Young Harris campus, she was active in the YHC community as the advisor for the Tri-Phi organization; as a leader on four mission trips to Mexico; and in worship and religious life. She is an honorary member of the Dorcas Society and the Sigma Beta Sigma sorority.  Her particular academic interests include pneumatology, mystical theology, feminist theology, and the relationship between theology, experience, and religious practice and piety. Rev. Ryle Clay will be teaching Christian Thought beginning spring semester, 2008.  She has published poetry, plays the lap dulcimer, and recently completed her second sprint triathlon.
