Physical Education and Recreation
The aim of the Physical Education and Recreation Program is to contribute to the balanced development and the professional preparation of the individual. Specific aims include organic and neuro-muscular development, command of the fundamental processes, worthy use of free time, and development of a personal program of recreation to be continued after college. A minimum of two credit hours in activity courses is required for graduation.
Intramural Sports: An extensive program of intramural sports for men and women is offered. In their free time, students are encouraged to make use of the facilities available at the college.
Physical Education Activity Courses: The courses are designed to develop knowledge of the rules, strategies, techniques, customs, and historical development of the sport or activity.
