Ms. Turchyn joined Young Harris College in 2009 serving as an instructor of Outdoor Leadership and Coordinator of the Outdoor Leadership Center. Prior to joining YHC, she was the coordinator for Outdoor Pursuits at Middle Tennessee State University. Ms. Turchyn’s areas of interest include experiential education pedagogy, facilitation, and service-learning methodology. She enjoys focusing on the development young people and assisting them in finding their passion and vocation in the field of experiential education. Currently, she is working on an integrated model of service-learning within the Outdoor Leadership program.

Ms. Turchyn, earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Pfeiffer University (2006) and a Master of Education in Outdoor Education Administration from Georgia College & State University (2008).
