Rob is from Houston, Texas and has lived in Georgia for the past 12 years. in 1991, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Rob moved to Georgia in 1992 to continue his education. He fell in love with the mountains and streams of Georgia and the Southeastern United States. He proceeded to teach high school English for four years, including a year at an Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound School in Atlanta. While there, he combined his love for teaching, youth and the outdoors.
Rob earned his Master's Degree in Outdoor Education Administration from Georgia College and State University in May of 2002. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Recreation and Leisure Studies Department at the University of Georgia. His passions include whitewater kayaking, fly-fishing, teaching, coffee and being with his family and friends.
