A golf tournament to benefit student scholarships at Young Harris College

Held at the beautiful Brasstown Valley Resort, the Clay Dotson Open golf tournament benefits student scholarships at Young Harris College. While growing and adding new educational opportunities for students, Young Harris College continues to embrace its heritage, tradition and unique academic experience that set it apart from other schools. Part of that tradition is ensuring that students continue to benefit from small classes, personal attention from faculty and opportunities for financial assistance.

All proceeds from the Clay Dotson Open are used to provide scholarships for Young Harris College students. As the College moves ahead as a four-year college, your generous support of this annual event is more critical than ever before. Young Harris College is committed to providing our new juniors and seniors with the financial aid needed to stay and complete their bachelor's degree.

Located in the quiet rolling hills of Young Harris, Georgia, Brasstown Valley Resort is home to a 7,000 yard, championship par-72 links-style golf course that is ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top 10 places to play in the state.

Tournament Highlights/Benefits

• Morning and afternoon flights (limited to 112 players each)
• Prizes for low net and low gross categories in each flight
• Continental breakfast provided
• Complimentary lunch and awards ceremony
• Purchase of mulligans (limit 2 per player)

Tournament Schedule

• 6:45 a.m.   Continental breakfast
• 7:30 a.m.   First flight tournament rules and announcements
  
• 8:00 a.m.   First flight tee off
• 12:30 p.m. Lunch and first flight awards presentation
• 1:30 p.m.   Second flight tournament rules and announcements
• 2:00 p.m.   Second flight tee off
• Second flight awards presentation immediately following conclusion of play
  

Alumni Team Challenge!
Gather four alumni and compete in the Alumni Team Challenge. The Alumni Team with the lowest score wins a special award. (All four team members must be YHC alumni.)
