East Central District Baseball Tournament
Release Date: May 13, 2008 Young Harris College to Host Baseball Tournament President Cathy Cox is pleased to announce that Young Harris College will be hosting the East Central District Baseball Championship Tournament this weekend when the Mountain Lions play against Walter State Community College from Tennessee, winners of the 2006 National Championship. The College was honored to host this tournament in 2000 as well. Game times for the tournament are 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. The winner of this series will advance to the College World Series, which will take place from May 23rd to June 1st in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Mountain Lions passed the 50 win mark last weekend, making this the third season they have achieved over 50 wins.
