Greg Carter Featured at Campus Gate Art Gallery

Alice Hirt Memorial Art Exhibition at Young Harris College
Presents Artist Greg Carter

Cathy Cox, president of Young Harris College, is pleased to announce that painter/printmaker Greg Carter is to be the featured artist for the annual Alice Hirt Memorial Art Exhibition. The exhibition will run from February 21 through April 4.  An opening reception will be held Thursday, February 21 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Campus Gate Art Gallery on the campus of Young Harris College. 

Carter, an alumnus of Young Harris College, received his Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Atlanta College of Art and his Master of Fine Art degree from Rutgers University. In 1988 Greg received the Fulbright-Hays Scholar Award for research in the visual arts and spent a year at the Fine Arts Academy of Finland in Helsinki.  Greg, a former art professor at Georgia Southern University, is now a full time artist and owns an art gallery in Statesboro, Georgia.
