WebDAV Tutorial
WebDAV is only available for resident students or by using YHC Secure Connect
WebDAV is the method used for accessing your YHC network file storage from your residence hall room or from home.
Step 1 - Determine your WebDAV address
WebDAV addresses for YHC follow this format: http://filestorage.yhc.edu/username
So if your username is billcorr, then your address would be http://filestorage.yhc.edu/billcorr
Step 2 - Open your WebDAV storage space
Windows Users:
Open Internet Exlorer and in the File Menu choose Open (if you don't see a file menu, then you probably have Internet Explorer 7 and it is hidden by default. Go to Tools and click on Menu Bar to make it appear.)
Click the check box beside Open as Web Folder.
Enter your WebDAV address in the dropdown box and click OK.
Mac Users (OS X):
Hit command+K and enter your WebDAV address in the Server Address text field.
Click Connect.
Step 3 - Enter your logon information
Windows Users:
When prompted for your username enter it in this format: MAIN\username
Enter your password and click OK.
Mac Users (OS X)
In the Domain field type: main
In the Name field type your username
Enter your password and click OK
Now you should be able to download and upload files to your YHC network storage space.
