Pay Deposit Now

All residential, commuting and returning students have required deposits. Young Harris College outlines the costs below, then we make it easy to pay your deposit now.

Residential Student $300 Housing Deposit

All students under 22 years of age and not residing with their immediate families are required to live in the residence halls. Upon notice of acceptance, new residential students should submit a housing application accompanied by a payment of $300, of which $100 is a room damage deposit, $100 is a START (Students Together for Advising, Registration and Transition) orientation fee and $100 is a tuition deposit. This deposit and fee are refundable if a student cancels before May 1 prior to fall semester or four months prior to any other semester for which the student has applied. The $100 room damage deposit paid by residential students will be applied to their account at the end of their last semester. If a credit balance results, a refund will be issued. The College reserves the right to assess students for any damage to property. Returning students are given priority in housing assignments. Students applying for housing are invited to indicate a preference of residence halls and roommates.

Commuting Student $200 Commuting Deposit

Upon acceptance, new commuting students should submit a payment of $200, consisting of a $100 tuition deposit and a $100 START orientation fee. Returning commuting students will have the $100 tuition deposit applied to their accounts at the end of their last semester. This deposit and fee are refundable if a student cancels before May 1 prior to the fall semester or four months prior to any other semester for which a student has applied.

Returning Students $200 Tuition Deposit

Each year, all returning students are required to pay a $200 tuition deposit which will be applied to their account when the fall semester begins and is refundable only if they cancel before May 1 prior to the fall semester.
