Have you wondered how you can do something to help YHC? Whether you're an alumnus, parent, or friend of YHC, here are 20 ways you can help advance the mission of Young Harris College through your time, experience, and/or resources. Some of these ideas require very little time or effort, but can bring tremendous benefit to our alma mater. You can make a difference right now! Take a look at the list and see how you can help YHC!

1. Make a gift to the Annual Fund. Every gift, regardless of size, helps.

2. Help recruit future YHC students and encourage a prospective student to visit campus.

3. Hire YHC students and graduates.

4. Support YHC athletics. Attend and cheer loudly at games!

5. Attend a Young Harris alumni event in your area, and take a fellow YHC alum with you.

6. Host YHC alumni gatherings.

7. Update your mailing address, e-mail address, job information, birth of children, etc. by emailing alumni@yhc.edu or calling 1-800-241-3754, ext. 5316.

8. Act as an ambassador and share your love of Young Harris College.

9. Stay educated about Young Harris; share what you know with others.

10. Visit campus.

11. Wear YHC clothing and/or display YHC paraphernalia at home and at work. (Visit The Little Store online.)

12. Be sure your local high school is well informed about Young Harris College.

13. Help the alumni relations office locate “lost” alumni. Encourage fellow alumni to keep records up to date.

14. Identify potential donors for scholarships, endowments, and naming opportunities.

15. Identify future leaders for the Alumni Board and other volunteer boards/councils.

16. Attend and promote Young Harris College cultural activities.

17. Remember YHC in your will and estate plan.

18. Read Echoes Magazine, and share it with a friend or prospective student when finished.

19. Contact a former professor and say thanks for his/her teaching and mentoring.

20. Encourage friends and classmates to attend Homecoming and their class reunions.
