Student Alumni Ambassador Breanna Gleeson, a senior business and public policy major from Adelaide, Australia, recently chatted with Young Alumni Council member and Class Coordinator Holly Gunter Royston, ’01, of Atlanta, to find out who her favorite faculty members were during her time at YHC.
Breanna: Dr. Todd Jones, one of my business and public policy professors, has always taken the time to invest in me as both a student and a person. His door is always open and he’s willing to help me in any way possible. Also, his educational philosophy is “edutainment,” so you can imagine how some of his classes have been! Which YHC professors impacted your life the most?
Holly: I actually have two favorite professors from my YHC days. Tom Jeffrey, who served as a theatre professor for nearly 30 years, and Dr. Roberta Rankin, another theatre professor who guided Theatre Young Harris for 22 years, were both a huge part of my life. I have fond memories of classes, rehearsals and many performances. Even though I was learning—and writing papers and taking exams—everything was always so much fun! Both have a very special place in my heart.
