Coach Fields graduated from Paulding County High School in 2000.  He played baseball under Head Coach Rick Sauls. 

He received his bachelor’s degree from Berry College in English and his masters in Secondary Education.  Coach Fields was a catcher under Head Coach David Beasley from 2002 – 2004. As a player, he helped lead the team to a Regional berth in 2004.

After his playing career, he served as an assistant coach under Beasley in 2005-2006, coaching the catchers, assisted in recruiting, performed advance scouting and maintained the field.  In his two years at Berry, Fields helped lead the program to an overall 69 – 49 record, and two consecutive Regional berths.

In 2006, Coach Fields was an Assistant Coach at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. He was responsible for the catchers and the hitters, helping guide the Warriors to a second place finish in their region, and a playoff berth.

Fields is currently the Head Coach of the East Cobb Astros 17u summer team. Last summer, Fields was the Head Coach of the East Cobb Braves 16 year old division, compiling a record of 40 – 32. His Braves squad was the 16u CABA State champions, Berry College Team champions, and the 16u Sandlot World Series Runner – up. He was also an assistant coach for Douglasville American Legion from 2002-2004, his 2002 squad captured the state championship.
