Glantz Becomes A Nittany Lion

Glantz

Michael Glantz (Marietta, GA) has announced that he has verbally committed to Penn State University. Michael marks the third Mountain Lion to travel north to Happy Valley, following Michael Deese and Drew O'Neil. He is heading to a program full of tradition. The nittany Loins have made nineteen NCAA Tournament appearances, and five College World Series appearances.

The 6'4," 190 pound infielder hit .333 last year in eight games before having to take a medical red shirt due to a season ending injury. It appears the time off has had little effect on him, currently Glantz is hovering around the .300 mark, with eight doubles, a triple, two homers, and sixteen runs batted in.

"I am glad Michael's found a place he feels is a fit for him. He had a lot of options and I know it was a difficult choice. He is an outstanding person as well as a great player. I know that this decision will enable him to relax and help Young Harris College meet our team goals. If he is successful this spring Young Harris College Baseball will be successful. " - Coach Robinson
