Stephen McCray (Lilburn, Ga) announced today that he will be heading to the University of Tennessee next fall. He will be joining current Mountain Lions' teammate, Michael Hornsby, and former Young Harris Assistant Alan Beck. The 6'4," 225 pound RHP/DH had numerous choices, but felt that the University of Tennessee, directed by Head Coach Todd Raleigh was the right place for him. Stephen is heading to a program full of tradition, having won three Southeastern Conference championships, and made its most recent College World Series appearance in 2005. The UT program has also placed seven players into the Major Leagues.

As a freshman, McCray hit .358, with thirteen doubles, nine homeruns, and sixty-five runs batted in. On the mound, Stephen went 9-2, with a 2.58 earned run average. He fanned eighty-nine batters in 106 innings pitched.
