The Athletic Training Program is a comprehensive two-year preparatory program leading to placement in a four-year accredited Athletic Training curriculum. This program offers a unique balance of classroom education and hands-on experience. Young Harris College provides a student clinical experience working directly with its nine varsity Division I NJCAA athletic programs starting as a freshman. Such experience is usually reserved for junior and senior students at four year institutions.

Two year athletic training programs are growing in popularity because of several reasons. First, they offer the student hands-on experience as a freshman and sophomore. Secondly, because of the limited number of students admitted and the competitiveness of four-year athletic training curriculum programs, it gives the student a big advantage over other applicants. Third, the student can fill the hourly observation requirements for admission, which varies from 25 to 150 hours depending on the institution.
For more information on the Athletic Training Education Program contact the head athletic trainer or fill out the questionnaire below.
