OPEN DOOR POLICY
The College is an Equal Opportunity Employer ' we believe in equal employment opportunity for all applicants, faculty and staff.
The College provides a workplace free from discrimination, and does not discriminate with regard to race, creed, color, sex/gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, disability, military status or any other category protected by law. The College is committed to providing a safe workplace, free from harassment, intimidation, and retaliation.
Under the 'Open Door Policy,' any Employee may speak with any member of Management about the College, its policies and practices and/or a personal matter. However, that privilege does not extend to discussing confidential College information or personal/personnel information regarding others.
The most satisfactory solution to a job-related problem or concern is usually reached through a prompt discussion with Management. Employees are encouraged to feel free to contact their Supervisor with any suggestions and/or complaints.
If an Employee does not feel comfortable contacting his or her Supervisor or is not satisfied with the Supervisor's response, he or she should contact the Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director is there to listen and provide help and guidance. The Human Resources Director will review the complaint/issue and help to provide a resolution. The College will not retaliate against an Employee for reporting an issue or voicing a complaint in good faith.
While the College provides this opportunity for Employees to communicate their views, not every complaint can be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. The College, however, believes that open communication is essential to a successful work environment and all Employees should feel free to raise issues of concern.
