Personal Appearance

Your appearance at work reflects on the image of the College. Accordingly, you are expected to report to work well groomed, clean, and dressed in a generally conservative and professional manner according to the requirements of your position. Some Employees may be required to wear uniforms or safety equipment/clothing. Please contact your Supervisor for specific information regarding acceptable attire for your position. If you report to work dressed or groomed inappropriately, you will be prevented from working until you return to work properly groomed and wearing the appropriate attire.

The College offices observe an everyday Business Casual Dress policy. Business Casual, however, does not include all kinds of casual wear, such as shorts, blue jeans and t-shirts, and it is important to maintain a professional image and use good judgment in determining when regular Business Dress is more appropriate. When the occasion dictates, office Employees should conform to Business Dress standards of skirts, dresses and suits for women and suits and/or jackets and ties for men.
