Financial Aid

Value and Affordability

Some students automatically assume that the cost of private education is out of their reach. But this is not necessarily true at Young Harris College.  All freshman applicants who have been admitted to Young Harris College are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.

If you think you might benefit from the small classes, personal attention and leadership opportunities, then give us a chance to crunch some numbers and determine your eligibility for financial aid. We automatically review all applicants for admission for merit-based scholarships. All we need is your application, high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores.

We also will review each family’s financial situation to determine eligibility for need-based financial aid. This aid may be in the form of grants, loans and/or on-campus employment opportunities. In order for us to review your family's financial situation, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be completed.  Our school code is 001604

Any merit-based scholarships, such as YHC academic scholarships, the HOPE Scholarship and the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant, can be stacked on top of athletic or fine arts scholarships. As a matter of fact, over 80% of YHC students receive some form of scholarships or grants. Therefore, don’t pass up the opportunity to find out how much you can receive.

Ultimately, we think you’ll find that the value of a Young Harris College education far exceeds what you pay.
