Class Scholarship Challenge
Many alumni were able to attend YHC because someone cared enough to provide them with financial assistance. Now, they have the chance to pay it forward—while also engaging in a little friendly competition!
Alumni from across the generations are rallying together to help deserving students attend their alma mater. Fifty-six classes participated in the 2013-2014 challenge, and 27 surpassed the $1,000 goal. More than $89,000 was raised, representing an increase of more than $30,000 from the challenge held in 2012-2013.
The scholarships are awarded every fall to current and incoming YHC students. Whether you just graduated or it's been a few years since your days at YHC, you most likely received some form of scholarship or financial assistance, and this is a great way to give back and pay it forward. By making this commitment, we can promote unity and spirit within each class while helping current and future students benefit from the same outstanding experience you enjoyed at YHC.
Organized by Class Coordinators, the Class Scholarship Challenge encourages each alumni class to raise $1,000 or more each year for student scholarships. There is power in numbers – if 100 members of your class give just $10, your class has reached its goal!
