Young Harris College’s Division of Fine Arts will present the Young Harris College Community Band in concert Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. in Glenn Auditorium.

Young Harris College’s Theatre Young Harris will present seven performances of inventive American playwright Tina Howe’s witty satire “Museum.”

The family friendly event was attended by more than 1,000 community members, along with YHC faculty, staff and students.

Campus Gate Art Gallery will host a special multimedia exhibition featuring faculty and student artwork inspired by the YHC Art Tour of Italy in May 2012.

YHC will host the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra (DSO) as part of the annual “Fay Harmon Clegg Hoag Concert Series” on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 8 p.m.

O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium will present the show “Earth, Moon and Sun” as part of a special Kids Night program on Friday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, the Young Harris College Chamber Choir will preview the program for its upcoming European debut in December 2012.

The YHC Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will join forces with the Mountain Community Chorus for a concert on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m.

Rollins Planetarium will present “Fright Light” at 7 and 8 p.m. on the following Friday evenings: Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.

On Sept. 26, the 26-member YHC Board of Associates met at The Village on the YHC campus to kick off the 2012-2013 Local Scholarship Campaign.

Six daytime performances were presented at no charge for approximately 3,700 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grades from area schools.

On Sept. 20, approximately 450 Young Harris College students, faculty and staff enjoyed a special private screening of the Warner Bros. film “Trouble with the Curve."

The exhibit opens Thursday, Sept. 27, with an opening reception at 6 p.m. and will be on display through Friday, Oct. 26.
