Young Harris College to Present Piano Ensemble Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Young Harris College Division of Fine Arts will present the YHC Piano Ensemble in concert on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. in Glenn Auditorium of the Clegg Fine Arts Building on the YHC campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Comprised of students currently studying piano, the YHC Piano Ensemble will perform works for piano duet (four hands, one piano) and piano trio (six hands, one piano). The group is directed by Instructor of Music Cynthia DeFoor.
The program will include musical selections from the Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods of musical history by celebrated composers such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, George Gershwin, Eduard Pütz and Leroy Anderson.
The ensemble is comprised of senior Landon Lovell of Blairsville, Ga., junior Cody Killian of Murphy, N.C., sophomore Lane Dorough of Marietta, Ga., sophomore John Fletcher of Cumming, Ga., sophomore Rocsane Tabulinar of Hiawassee, Ga., and freshman Meredith Martin of Cumming, Ga.
