YHC will present “Christmas at Young Harris” featuring Young Harris College’s Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Concert Band on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

On Nov. 8, YHC hosted a food-packing event in which more than 100 faculty, staff and student volunteers packed 14,000 meals in one hour and raised $3,500 to assist Stop Hunger Now.

YHC recently received a gift from United Community Banks, Inc. as a contribution to the College’s Local Scholarship Campaign.

Held on the YHC campus, the three-day event featured lectures, workshops, competitions, master classes and performances.

The YHC Concert Band and Atlanta Trumpet Ensemble will combine to present the great classic repertoire of the concert band genre on Friday, Nov. 16.

Rollins Planetarium will light up the winter season with three special presentations of the perennial holiday favorite “Season of Light."

YHC students and alumni and Mountain Lions fans will kick off the 2012-2013 basketball season with Homecoming, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 16-17.

The YHC Jazz Band will perform a variety music covering many styles of the big band genre, featuring guest soloist Richard Bentivegna on tenor saxophone.

Young Harris College’s Division of Fine Arts will present the Young Harris College Community Band in concert Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. in Glenn Auditorium.

Young Harris College’s Theatre Young Harris will present seven performances of inventive American playwright Tina Howe’s witty satire “Museum.”

The family friendly event was attended by more than 1,000 community members, along with YHC faculty, staff and students.

The exhibition opens Thursday, Nov. 8, with an opening reception at 6 p.m. in the Campus Gate Art Gallery.

Young Harris College’s Division of Fine Arts will present the YHC Guitar Ensemble in concert on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. in Susan B. Harris Chapel.
