White Water Rafting – Ocoee River, Tennessee
- Sunday, September 14th
- Come and enjoy an action packed ride down one of the southeast’s greatest white water rivers!
- Cost = $25
Guest Presenter – Mark Warren – Free!
- Tuesday, September 2nd / Time TBA
- Learn about Cherokee legend, edible wilds, and the flora and fauna of the southeast!
Rock Climbing – Mount Yonah, Georgia
- Sunday, September 21st
- Top rope climbing, rappelling and bouldering at one of Georgia’s top climbing venues
- Cost = $25
Fly Tying Clinic – Free!
- Tuesday, September 23rd / 6:00 – 8:00pm
- Learn to tie your own trout, bass and pan fish flies from professional fly tyer and YHC Alum Steve Davenport
Climbing on the Climbing Tower – Free!
- Monday, October 6th / Time TBA
- Come down to the Outdoor Education Center and climb on the climbing wall. Open to climbers of all abilities.
Tree Climbing – Free!
- Monday, October 27th / 4:00 – 6:00pm
- Enjoy the plentiful hardwoods on campus – 50 feet in the air!!
Appalachian Trail Through Hiking Clinic and Slide Show – Free!
- Date and Time TBA
- Join the staff from the renowned backpacking outfitter, Mountain Crossings, for an evening of stories, instruction and a slide show regarding backpacking on the Appalachian Trail
- This is a great way to gain information about backpacking the AT – whether you are planning an overnighter or a thru-hike
