The Office of Service and Leadership

 Purpose

Central to the core mission and purpose of Young Harris College is to provide an environment that challenges students to grow personally, intellectually and spiritually by offering a diverse liberal arts curriculum that inspires students to become engaged citizens. Given these core values and the challenges that face our contemporary society, The Office of Service and Leadership at Young Harris College offers unique programs that emphasize principled leadership development and intentional civic engagement.

Mission

The mission of The Office of Service and Leadership is to enhance the ability of students to develop as citizens who contribute to the common good and betterment of the Young Harris College campus, our local community, and the greater society.

In support of our mission, we offer two comprehensive programs: Leadership YHC and Volunteer YHC. Each of these programs provides distinct initiatives for Young Harris College students to serve as volunteers and to develop as leaders. Students are encouraged to explore these two excellent avenues for impacting the lives of others, as well as their own.
