About Greek Life Recruitment
The Young Harris College Greek system currently holds one formal recruitment week and Membership Intake Process (MIP) each fall and spring academic semester. The MIP is the potential new member period in which a candidate for membership in a Greek organization becomes acquainted with the organization’s purposes and goals and learns the requirements for membership and the traditions of that organization.
Recruitment week consists of a “Smokeless” Smoker’s Tea, preference parties and bid day for potential Greek members. Any student wishing to join a Young Harris College Greek organization must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and have completed 12 credit hours at YHC.
