Young Harris College Concert Choir to Present Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Young Harris College Concert Choir will perform in concert on Saturday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Glenn Auditorium of the Clegg Fine Arts Building on the YHC campus. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students and children 12 and under.
Under the direction of Professor of Music, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities, and Musical Theatre Program Co-coordinator Jeff Bauman, the Concert Choir will perform a contemporary repertoire including “Requiem” by Gabriel Fauré, a seven-movement piece that will be performed with an orchestra.
Several pieces will also feature student soloists. Senior music major Spencer Murray of Cabot, Ark., will be featured during “Omnia Sol” by American composer and conductor Z. Randall Stroope, senior music major Avonne Waddell of Dalton, Ga., will be featured during “Go Lovely Rose” by American composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, and junior music major Adam Trotman of Demorest, Ga., will be featured on “Remember Me” by choral composer Laura Farnell.
