After receiving your acceptance letter:
☑ FAFSA
Submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for financial assistance and to receive an additional $1,000 from YHC, regardless of merit or financial need.
☑ FINANCIAL AID
After you have been accepted and submitted your FAFSA, review your Financial Award package found in your mailbox and on your YHC application portal (please allow 14 business days for processing once all documents are received by the Office of Financial Aid).
Per Federal law, all students must accept their federal aid package. Once you view your Financial Aid Package on the “Your YHC Award” tab on your application portal, and click to accept or decline your awards at the bottom of the page.
☑ SCHEDULE VISIT

☑ DEPOSIT
Submit your $300 enrollment deposit to officially commit to Young Harris College, and to secure your space in course registration and housing!
Once you’ve paid your deposit:
☑ QUESTIONNAIRE
Complete the New Student Questionnaire on your application portal to let our academic advisors know your course registration preferences for this fall so you can receive your schedule at Ready to R.O.A.R pre-orientation.
☑ HEALTH FORMS
Submit all required health forms and records within 30 days of your commitment to YHC.
☑ YHC EMAIL
Use your YHC account credentials to access your student account and set up your YHC email. Be sure to reset your password immediately. Your YHC email address will be the official communication method of the College once you arrive to campus.
☑ RESIDENCY APPLICATION
Submit your Residency Application located on your application portal. Both commuting and on-campus students must complete the residency application.
☑ ORIENTATION
Register for a Ready to R.O.A.R. Pre-Orientation session on the “Visit Us” tab of your application portal. Ready to R.O.A.R. is required for all incoming students.
☑ TRANSFER STUDENTS ONLY
Complete your Student Transfer Form and have it submitted to YHC by your previous institution.
Before Move-In:
☑ HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS
Request your final, official high school transcript be sent to the Office of Admissions from your high school by July 1. Remember: to be considered final, your transcript must have your graduation/diploma date clearly listed!
☑ COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
Request final, official college/dual enrollment transcripts be sent to the Office of Admissions from any post-secondary college or university where you’ve earned course credit by July 1. Remember: we cannot award credit for dual enrollment courses based on your high school transcript. We MUST receive the official transcript from the college/university.
☑ TEST SCORES
Request official Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or CLEP scores be sent to the Office of Admissions by July 1.
☑ TUITION
Pay your tuition and fees by July 31. Tuition and fees can be paid online via Self-Service under the "Finances" tab.
☑ DISABILITY SERVICES
When students become aware of the need for a disability-related accommodation at YHC, students should first register with YHC Disability Services. Information about registering can be found on the Disability Services website.
☑ GET PACKING
