Residence Life

Young Harris College is a residential campus, which means around 90 percent of students live in one of the College’s residence halls. Students get to choose from seven traditional residence halls, including the LEED-Silver certified Enotah Hall—recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council for its sustainable design and construction. This 200-bed facility features four soundproof music practice rooms, as well as an outdoor amphitheatre used for classes or special events.

When you’re ready for something more independent, check out The Village, an apartment-style residential community for upperclassmen that features private bedrooms, a kitchen, washer and dryer, and plenty of living space for you and your friends.

By living on campus, students join a community to expand their learning experience beyond the classroom. The Office of Residence Life provides and maintains a residential environment that stimulates intellectual and personal growth. Students enjoy an environment where diversity is celebrated and where students can study and share ideas with peers, faculty, and staff whose culture, lifestyle and opinions may be very different from their own.

YHC is committed to providing a safe and nurturing living environment, and residence life coordinators and resident assistants are available 24/7 to help students adjust to their new home. Campus facilities like Grace Rollins Dining Hall, the Recreation and Fitness Center and the Zell & Shirley Miller Library are just a short stroll away, and all residence halls feature Wi-Fi, cable TV, free laundry with end-of-cycle text alerts, and common rooms to study and socialize.
