About Greek Life Recruitment
The Young Harris College Greek system currently holds one formal recruitment week each fall and spring academic semester. After new members have accepted their bids, each one participates in an education period in which a candidate for membership in a Greek organization becomes acquainted with the organization’s purposes and goals and forms relationships with their brothers and/or sisters. Each education period is designed to be a safe environment for our students and lasts no longer than 6 weeks each semester.
Beginning Fall of 2017, all students will be invited to participate in Fraternity/Sorority Recruitment. The Recruitment week will consist of various events hosted by each organization designed to provide necessary information a student would need to decide if a particular group is the right fit for them.
All students wishing to participate in Fraternity or Sorority Recruitment must be registered by the deadline provided. Registration will open Aug. 6 and will close on Sept. 22.
A $20 registration fee is also required to participate. This fee will provide each student participating in the recruitment process a meal at the Greek Picnic and a recruitment t-shirt. You may pay this fee with a card on the appropriate links below. Or, if you would like to pay cash, you can bring your fee to the first night of Recruitment (must be exact cash).
