Code of Conduct

Conflict of Interest Policy and Code of Conduct

The Higher Education Opportunity Act Of 2008 (HEOA) requires institutions of higher education to establish and follow a Code of Conduct with respect to student loans that prohibits conflicts of interest for any financial aid professional participating in the administration of educational loan programs. Young Harris College (the “College”) is an eligible institution under the Federal Insured Student Loan Program.

Loans

Loans are sources of funding that allow students to spread the cost of education over time. Loans must be paid back, even if the student does not complete his/her education. Students apply for low-interest Federal Direct Loans by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) to qualify.

Young Harris College invests in you by providing scholarships that honor your achievements in academics, athletics, fine arts and more.

Merit-based Scholarships

Academic Scholarship

Upon acceptance to Young Harris College, students are evaluated based on their high school GPA for eligibility to receive an academic merit scholarship. This scholarship is renewable up to four years (eight semesters) at YHC.

Apply for Aid

There are four steps to apply for aid at YHC:

1. APPLY TO YHC

Complete the YHC Admission Application. Scholarship and financial aid awards are made only after a student has been officially accepted. All freshmen admitted to Young Harris College are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.
