Hazing Policy

Young Harris College upholds the position on hazing adopted by the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA) and Fraternal Information and Programming Group (FIPG). However, for brevity the following policy should be the guideline used by all student organizations. Enforcement of this policy comes under the jurisdiction of the Vice President for Student Development or a designee. In this regard, the College defines hazing as follows:

Greek Life at Young Harris College emphasizes scholastic achievement, philanthropy, leadership and personal growth. There are eight fraternities and five sororities for students to choose from—and with both national chapters on campus as well as local groups exclusive to YHC, every student is sure to find the perfect fit.

2019 YHC SGA

The purpose of the YHC Student Government Association (SGA) is to develop principles of democratic self-government; hear and express the concerns and interests of the student body; facilitate communication between administration, faculty and students; and encourage student involvement in all facets of campus life.
