About Environmental Studies at Young Harris College

Environmental Studies B.A. degree program will train students to think critically and participate actively in the exploration of the biological sciences through the lens of a reflective practitioner of wilderness and park regions set aside for public appreciation and enjoyment.  The degree prepares students for careers in conservation or outdoor recreation.  This is accomplished by providing foundational knowledge of the scientific concepts of biology and integrating this component with the understanding of human interaction with outdoor spaces. 

To graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from YHC, you’ll take 120 hours of coursework.
