YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College invites prospective students and their families to attend Visitation Day Saturday, March 30 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Check-in will be in the Rollins Campus Center lobby on the YHC campus, which is located at 1 College St., Young Harris, Ga. 30582. Throughout the day, visitors can participate in multiple activities designed to showcase the academic and student life experiences available on campus.

“I love for prospective students and their families to experience what makes YHC so special,” said Campus Visit Coordinator Myra O’Connor. “From meeting with our dedicated professors who have a vested interest in their students, to interacting with current students and learning more about campus activities, the day promises to help future Mountain Lions see themselves here.”

Visitation Day will begin with a welcome from YHC President Dr. Drew L. Van Horn, followed by a campus tour. Prospective students and their families will be able to see two residence halls, the Rollins Campus Center, the Recreation and Fitness Center and multiple academic buildings. YHC students serve as campus tour guides, providing an opportunity for prospective students to ask questions and interact with current students.

For a portion of the day, students and their families will split into two groups, and each group receives a personalized experience. Both groups will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members and learn more about the academic areas that interest them the most. They will also learn more about campus life, including student organizations.

Lunch will be offered in the Grace Rollins Dining Hall, followed by a closing session called “The Why in YHC.” Afterward, representatives from the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid will be available to meet with students and families.
