Accounts Receivable & Front Office Coordinator
SUMMARY
Greets faculty, staff, students and visitors and gives information to callers. Assists management with miscellaneous bookkeeping tasks and journal entries. Monitors student accounts receivable system-generated data for accuracy and ensures that student account information is submitted for payment on a timely basis. Receipts all incoming payments received.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Greets faculty, staff, students and visitors, ascertain nature of business, and conduct them to appropriate person.
• Answer all accounts receivable phone inquiries, research any questions/complaints, and act accordingly.
• Responsible for opening all accounts receivable mail received on a daily basis in the presence of another employee.
• Research and verify system-generated charges initiated by other departments for accuracy.
• Research and verify financial aid transactions generated by the Financial Aid department for accuracy.
• Responsible for emailing student account information and collecting any unpaid balance and for billing 3rd party vendors for tuition payments. Flagging or coding problem student accounts.
• Responsible for communicating student charges and the Business Office policy information at all student orientations, or other events. Update Powerpoint handouts for weekend sessions.
• Responsible for maintaining and reconciling Nelnet payment plans.
• Receipt incoming payments for accounts receivable, institutional advancement and miscellaneous income received on a daily basis. Balance and reconcile all monies received at days end.
• Prepare and/or enter journal entries to the General Ledger.
• Process all incoming and outgoing mail and packages for the college and maintain postage equipment.
• Responsible for scheduling driver assigning training courses, distributing keys for, and maintaining the college fleet vehicles.
• Supervises all student worker(s) assigned to the Business Office. Responsible for all duties performed by the student worker(s) if the student worker(s) is not working that

Directly supervises student worker(s) when assigned to the office.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bookkeeping/ Accounting experience desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY

Adjunct Professor of Computer Science
Young Harris College invites applications for an adjunct professor of Computer Science position beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology(IT), Information Systems(IS), or a related degree. Strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required. Candidate must be comfortable with technology and experience with Moodle is a plus.
Duties will primarily include teaching CSCI 1100: Introduction to Personal Computing. This is an introductory course that describes how computers are applied to solving problems in our information-oriented society. Included is a study of fundamental hardware, operating systems, networking, computer privacy and security, and the social, economic, and legal impact of information systems. Standard business-based software packages (MS Office) are used by students to solve a variety of problems. This course is required for many of our science majors who use Excel in their coursework and is also an elective for a diverse set of students across campus.

Young Harris College invites applications for part time, non-tenure track positions to begin in January 2027. Duties will primarily include teaching American Government courses for Young Harris Dual Enrollment. Young Harris Dual Enrollment is the YHC program whereby high school students take college courses to receive transferable college credits while still earning credit toward high school graduation. The college needs an instructor to teach in-person at the Towns County High School (Hiawassee, Georgia) classroom location.
The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in Political Science or closely related field. A strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required, as well as a comfort in using technology. Assistant Professor of Theatre
The Young Harris College Department of Theatre and Dance invites applications for a full-time tenure tracked Assistant Professor of Theatre who will teach courses in musical theatre and theater as well as direct in the mainstage season. The position is based in the city of Young Harris, which is in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia.
The successful candidate must hold a terminal degree in theatre or a closely related field and be capable of teaching acting courses and directing productions. The ideal applicant will be a creative collaborator with significant professional experience in musical theatre as well as experience in higher education. The ability to teach another specialty is also highly desirable. These possible areas include but are not limited to the following: stage movement, performance for musical theatre, voice and diction, history and literature, audition techniques, applied voice, and stage makeup. Job Title: Instructional Designer

Summary:
The Instructional Designer, an on-campus and in-person position, leads the design, development, and continuous improvement of classroom, online, and hybrid courses and programs. This position partners closely with faculty to enhance teaching effectiveness through the integration of sound pedagogical practices and instructional technologies that support student engagement and learning outcomes. The position supports institutional goals related to quality assurance, academic integrity, accessibility, and innovation in digital learning
Serving as the primary resource for the institution’s learning management system (LMS), the Instructional Designer provides both strategic oversight and day-to-day support for online course delivery. The role collaborates extensively with academic leadership and the Office of Information Technology to ensure the effective implementation and support of instructional technologies aligned with the college’s academic mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and revise classroom, online, and hybrid course materials, aligning pedagogical objectives with appropriate instructional technologies
· Coordinate the proposal, development, review, and evaluation of online courses, and support decision-making related to online course offerings in collaboration with the Dean of Dual Enrollment & Distance Learning
· Plan and deliver individual and group training for faculty on instructional technologies and effective teaching methodologies, in collaboration with academic leadership
· Serve as the primary resource for faculty on the use of the LMS and other digital tools to support the delivery of course content
· Develop and maintain online training materials and resources to support faculty use of educational technologies

Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or a related field is required.
· Master’s degree is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience designing and developing online, in-person, or hybrid courses within a higher education environment is required.
· Strong knowledge of instructional design frameworks, learning theory, and effective online pedagogy is required.
· Experience applying accessibility standards and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in digital course design is required.
· Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult effectively across disciplines and organizational levels is required.
· Proficiency with learning management systems and related instructional technologies is required. Moodle experience is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated success partnering with faculty and academic leadership to advance institutional goals for teaching and learning is preferred.
· Familiarity with Quality Matters or other recognized quality assurance frameworks for online learning is preferred.
