Priority Items

  • Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based financial assistance. You can begin the FAFSA at studentaid.gov. You will receive a $1,000 scholarship for completing the FAFSA regardless of need.
  • Pay your $300 enrollment deposit as soon as possible to secure your scholarship award and receive priority for course registration and residence hall preference. You can pay this deposit online at yhc.edu/deposit, by phone, or via mail.
  • Use your YHC student account information to access your YHC student account and email. YHC email is the official communication method of the College.
  • Log in and set up your account by following the directions on your account information sheet. Be sure to reset your password.
  • Review your financial aid award package and check for any updates in your YHC email.
  • Submit your Housing/Commuter Application and Agreement (available Mid-April through application portal at discover.yhc.edu/acceptedstudentportal/inquiryform). Both on-campus and commuter students must complete this form. Housing assignments will be made starting the first of June once the halls are closed from the previous academic year.
  • Complete the Online New Student Questionnaire at least a week before your Ready to ROAR date. Deposited students will receive their course schedule at Ready to ROAR.
  • After high school graduation, request for your final official transcript(s) (high school and college/dual enrollment) be sent to the Office of Admissions, along with any Advanced Placement (AP) scores.
  • Complete required health forms and submit to Sandy McClure at [email protected].
  • Pay your tuition and fees by July 31. Tuition and fees can be paid online via Self-Service under the ‘Finances’ tab. Additional information, including information regarding payment plans, can be found by visiting yhc.edu/business-office/payment.
  • Visit the ‘Disability Services’ page on YHC website (at yhc.edu/student-life/disability) to begin registration with Disability Services for any known disability-related accommodations. Students are encouraged to begin the process as soon as they are aware of any accommodation needs including Emotional Support Animals and Service Animals. Disability Services is located in the Success Center and can be contacted at [email protected].
  • Learn about community standards and expectations regarding campus policies through The Guide to Student Life. Students will be contacted via YHC email by the Office of Student Development mid-July concerning next steps.
  • Once you have received your housing assignment via your YHC email, connect with your roommate!
