Matt Logan
Director of Track & Field and Cross Country
Matt Logan joined the mountain lions as the head cross country coach in the Spring of 2023. In the summer of 2024, it was announced that Young Harris College would add Indoor and Outdoor track and field to its list of NCAA Div. II sponsored sports. Coach Logan became the first director of all six programs after the announcement. During the 2025/2026 academic year, Logan lead the mountain lions to their fastest team time in school history and their highest conference and regional finishes in the Div. II era. He has previously held positions at Averett University, Barton College, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He resides in Blairsville with his wife and four children.
